Ever since this young man first got his hands on a set of decks, he’s obsessed himself with Dance music and mixing. Despite the fact his first decks only had three speeds, the classic 33, 45, and 78 he still managed to carve mixes out of classic Old Skool Beats and Breaks.
In 1997 Rush clapped his greasy mitts on his inaugural pair of 1210s. The DJ had come home. After having no pitch control the Technics machines seemed like a dream. No coincidence then when he collided with fate later that year playing Old Skool alongside Dreamscape darling DJ Dougal. He had first touched upon the energy and mayhem that a DJ could bring to a dance-floor, not only through their music, but also with a dynamic, maverick performance. Rush was borne.
No longer content with billing Rush began to host his own promotions. He opened up in 1999 with a hard slammer of a night appropriately titled ‘Bangin’. This platform gave him the connections, status and finances necessary to develop his studio and production skills whilst honing a fine edge to his energised stage displays. Nothing more than the love of Dance gave Rush the endurance to last out those early days of his serious career.
As night follows day Rush’s work in the studio paid off and 2003 saw the release of his material under the production name of Mr. Rush (one can only assume Mr. Strong and Mr. Bump worked behind the scenes in the studio). Perhaps it was his appreciation of this comic side that lead karma to deal him a nice hand in the form of his first radio show. Hosting raw Hardcore on Renegade FM saw our man boost his reputation and his ever widening circle of contacts as he represented new and upcoming talent as often as possible in the mix.
Success for Rush’s own music hit a big number when the Exorcism of Chucky received play on John Peel’s Radio one show, leading to the tune becoming one of the best selling Hardstyle records of all time. From bedroom to DJ and finally to artist Rush’s journey had become full. His GBH label fully supported his releases in partnership with Italian producer Marco Vortex.
It is both Rush’s skill as a performer coupled with a work ethic and belief in the music that make him such an entertainer when behind the decks. His is a genuine appreciation of all the elements that conjure and evoke the wild magic of the Dance-floor.
Moving forward 10 years the beast has awoken ready to entertain and destroy dance-floors across the U.K and europe. Armed with new ideas and ambitions mr GBH has returned to the scene. New forthcoming release have been signed to the coveted GBH records.
Now it is time to play!!!!

Witnal started djing in 2004 (he thinks..... haha) because of his love for free parties and harder styles of music. He wanted to be able to play the tunes he loved in the way he wanted. Witnal started off on vinyl which is his preferred choice to mix on but recently he has been dabbling in the digital world to keep things fresh. Witnal is one amazing DJ who - with just one hand has never let anything stand in his way to play the music he loves.
Witnal's main passion is hard trance – mid 90s to mid 2000s and this is what you will usually find him playing, however he will play just about anything that has a banging riff, beat or bassline to it. Witnal believe's there are good tunes in most genres you just have to find them.
Witnals love for hard trance (90s – mid-2000s), early hardstyle, Acid techno, hardtek, raggatek, jungle, DNB, Electro, Breakz, Bounce, Minimal, Prog and he play's all of these when he fancy's it.
The free parties in his younger years and his love for music were definitely Witnal's inspiration. He didn’t really take any inspiration from anybody in particular, more the vibe of the free party scene and his love for music, especially trance.
OiOi!!
